Denise Richards had to learn a lesson in technology the hard way.

During the March 11 episode of Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, the actress explained why she decided to start an OnlyFans account, where she shares explicit content for her subscribers. At 54 years old, Denise said she enjoys having an outlet where she can feel sexy of her own volition.

“When I started out in my career after Wild Things, it was like, ‘Okay, she’s a sex symbol,’ ” she shared. “And I was told, ‘You gotta shy away from that and do a different role so people don’t see you just as that.’ Now, I definitely think it’s empowering to embrace my sexuality and do what I want to do.”

“I do a lot of Christmas movies, I do a lot of conservative films,” she continued. “And then I’m still doing OnlyFans and being seen as sexy.”

In addition to her side hustle, Denise is a mother to three daughters — Sami Sheen, 21, Lola Sheen, 19, and 13-year-old Eloise.

As cameras captured Eloise, who was diagnosed with a deletion in chromosome 8 and is “mostly nonverbal,” learning to use her devices to communicate, Denise revealed a recent incident that left them both blushing.

“Eloise is getting very savvy with the phone and the computer,” she explained. “We had a little mishap with an iPad. I didn’t know some of my OnlyFans pictures were synched to her iPad, so…”

When a producer asked Eloise to show how she reacted to seeing those explicit photos, she began laughing hysterically and threw her hands up in shock.

Denise adopted Eloise in 2011 following her divorce from Charlie Sheen, with whom she shares daughters Lola and Sami. Despite their differences in communication styles, Denise said they all get along great.

“I definitely think Eloise brings out the best in Sami and Lola,” she said in a confessional. “They do light up with her.”

The girls agreed. “I feel like she honestly gives me some good advice sometimes,” Sami admitted. “If there’s a new guy I’m talking to, I’ll be like, ‘Is he cute?’ She’ll give me thumbs up or thumbs down. If it’s thumbs down, onto the next.”

“She’s really honest and I really value her opinion,” Sami added.

Lola then joked: “If I ask her if she likes an outfit, she’ll laugh at me, and that’s how I know it’s ugly!”

When it comes to OnlyFans, Denise isn’t the only member of the family with an account. Sami does, too. Ahead of their reality show’s premiere, Sami opened up to PEOPLE about getting on the site when she turned 18 in 2022.

“I really wanted to get an apartment and I knew that working at the candy shop I was working at wasn’t going to cut it,” she said. “So I went to the next best thing and made an OnlyFans.”

With her OnlyFans earnings, Sami can pay her rent and live on her own. Denise made her page soon after, and she said that it was a gesture of support for Sami.

“At first, I didn’t understand what OnlyFans was,” Denise noted. “When I saw that she was getting backlash for owning her sexuality and doing what she wanted to do, it upset me as a mom and also as a woman in business.”

“I wish she’d waited a bit because she started it right after me but it doesn’t bother me,” Sami said of her reaction.
