DeKaylin “DK” Metcalf is giving Normani some extra motivation!

On Thursday, March 13, the NFL star announced that he and the singer are engaged, almost two years after they confirmed their relationship on Instagram in July 2023.

Metcalf shared the news while speaking to reporters after being traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“My family and her family was in Houston. It was my sister’s Spring Break and just thought about getting the whole family together for a big kumbaya and joining our families with the ring,” Metcalf said while speaking with reporters.

The NFL star was proud to speak of the engagement as he told Normani, who was sitting to one side, “Hold that rock up, baby.”

Later in the conference, Metcalf revealed that he had wanted to propose since last year, but there were conflicts with her schedule, noting that he wanted to “take an approach to where a schedule couldn’t matter.” He ultimately ended up proposing in Houston surrounded by both of their families on Wednesday, Sports Illustrated reported.
