Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are sharing the screen again 22 years later.
On Friday, March 14, Disney debuted the first teaser trailer for Freakier Friday, the long-awaited sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday directed by Nisha Ganatra that sees Lohan, 38, and Curtis, 66, reprise their roles as mother-daughter duo Anna and Tess Coleman.
“The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice,” teases a synopsis.
Disney confirmed Freakier Friday was in production last June after years of speculation about a sequel. Lohan told PEOPLE in March 2024 that the new film was “in the process.” The movie wrapped production in August, and both Lohan and Curtis commemorated their onscreen reunion on Instagram at that time.
