An American Airlines plane caught fire while taxiing at Denver International Airport on Thursday. The plane had been diverted from its original route due to engine vibrations, and after landing safely, the engines caught on fire.
All 172 passengers and six crew members were safely evacuated, with 12 people taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The pictures of the evacuation are going viral because I truly haven’t seen anything like it since Sully landed that plane in the Hudson.
As you can see, people were evacuated off of the wing of the plane:
It’s definitely not something you see everyday.
This is just one of many plane-related accidents that have happened lately!
On Thursday, the Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, announced he would be opening a full investigation on “DEI hiring allegations” at the FAA. He said, “If true, swift accountability will come for those responsible. We need the best and brightest, not buzzword, DEI hires.”
