Chayce Beckham is ready to tie the knot with the help of the King!
The American Idol winner, 28, detailed his wedding plans on the latest episode of the Diving In Deep with Sara Evans podcast, when he shared that he and his longtime partner Ashley — who got engaged back in October — are planning a “small wedding” this year in Las Vegas.
“Just me, her and our parents,” Beckham told host Sara Evans, adding that they’re “getting married by Elvis.”
“That’s gonna be it,” he added. “We’ll go out there, get married and come back home.”
After Evans asked if a party is in store for the pair, the country star revealed that they’ll have a “celebration,” although he and his fiancée are in the middle of “so many different things” at the moment. “[We’re going to] buy or build a house and also getting me into a bus permanently at some point,” he said. “So we’ve got other things that both of us would rather spend our money on than throwing a big old wedding. And we never really wanted one anyway.”
Beckham later shared that his sister just had a “small” wedding of her own, with smaller ceremonies still having “little kinks you have to work out.”
“We’ve been together for now over 11 years,” Beckham said of his fiancée. “We met years ago, dated for a long time, broke up for a little while, moved to Nashville after the whole Idol thing and ended up getting back together. Then we were like, ‘Alright, it’s probably about time we get engaged and have a wedding.’ But yeah, we just never wanted to have a big one.”
Beckham popped the question to Ashley while performing at The Honda Center in Anaheim months back, with the heartfelt moment captured on film and shared by Cleveland Country Magazine at the time. The duo shared a big kiss after Ashley accepted his proposal, as the “Everything I Need” singer confirmed to the crowd, “She said yes, y’all, she said yes.”
He previously detailed his Vegas wedding plans in a January conversation with ABC Audio, revealing that he and his fiancée are planning a “little white chapel-type deal.” He also shared that he considered tying the knot in Vegas in 2023, with Luke Bryan and his manager, Kerri Edwards, present.
“We almost did it I think [in 2023] while Luke had his residency in Vegas. ‘Cause we were like, ‘How cool would it be if Kerri and Luke were our witnesses at the chapel?'” Beckham said.
“But yeah, we put it off. We actually did it the real way. We got engaged. So we’re excited.”

The country star won Season 19 of American Idol in 2021, before releasing his album Bad for Me in 2024 — featuring his 2021 breakthrough single “23.” Speaking with PEOPLE in 2023, the singer detailed what the song meant to him years later.
“’23’ means a lot of things. It’s a song about trials and redemptions and learning and going through life and whenever you think you’re done, you just keep on going,” Beckham said.
“That song has given me so much life. It’s special to a lot of other people too and that’s what makes it special to me.”
Beckham will be on the road throughout much of the year, with a handful of festival performances in the United Kingdom this weekend, several “Bad for Me Tour” and festival stops in the spring and a handful of additional gigs this summer in Canada and the U.S.
