Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have attended the Met Gala together several times in the past, but don’t expect to see them at the event this year.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Blake and Ryan will not be at the 2025 red carpet event in New York City, which is often considered to be fashion’s biggest night.

While you may think that the couple want to keep a low profile amid the It Ends With Us legal drama, that’s allegedly not the reason.

TMZ reports that “the decision to pass on the May event was made way before that drama unfolded.” Blake and Ryan skipped the past two Met Gala red carpets and haven’t attended since 2022, when they were co-chairs.

The theme of the 2025 Met Gala is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and the exhibit is drawing inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity.
