Filming reunion episodes for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is no easy feat, according to Kathy Hilton.
The businesswoman, 65, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that ending seasons of the popular Bravo series takes a lot out of her and her costars.
“It is a very, very big day, and it’s very, very stressful,” Hilton admits, candidly.
“Even if you are not part of the drama, just what’s going on, it’s pretty intense,” she adds.

Hilton initially joined RHOBH as a “friend of the housewives” for the series’ season 11, which aired in 2021.
She returned again in the same role a year later, but in June 2023, Hilton confirmed her departure from the Bravo series.

During RHOBH‘s season 13 reunion in 2024, Hilton made a special guest appearance, and months later, it was announced that she would return once again as a “friend” for the show’s season 14, which is currently airing.
Hilton’s one sister, Kyle Richards, is an original cast member of RHOBH, while their other sister, Kim Richards, was a part of the main cast for the first five seasons. She has since returned for guest appearances in subsequent seasons.

Currently, season 14 of RHOBH features Hilton playing the role of a supportive sibling as she helps sister Richards, 56, amid her split from estranged husband Mauricio Umansky.
The pair — who share daughters Alexia, Sophia and Portia — separated in summer 2023 after 27 years of marriage. (Richards is also a mom to daughter Farrah with her ex Guraish Aldjufrie, whom she was married to from 1988 to 1992.)
Hilton told PEOPLE last year that Richards was “just taking her time” amid her new normal, adding that her sister was also “really spending a lot of time with the girls.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo and is available to stream the next day on Peacock.
