ChatGPT is experiencing a partial outage Tuesday morning, OpenAI confirmed.

A partial outage affecting ChatGPT, Sora and APIs is currently under investigation, according to OpenAI’s status page.

The outage was first reported about five hours ago and reports of users experiencing errors has steadily increased since, according to Downdetector, a service owned by Mashable parent company Ziff Davis.

Users on social media highlighted “too many concurrent requests” as the error message appearing when they attempt to use ChatGPT.

At 8:35 a.m. ET, OpenAI said it identified the root cause of the error and is implementing a fix.
