SZA is opening up about her forthcoming tour with Kendrick Lamar.

On Tuesday, March 11, the “Kill Bill” singer, 35, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she discussed her 2025 Grand National Tour with the “Not Like Us” hitmaker, 37.

During SZA’s conversation with Jimmy Kimmel, she revealed that her forthcoming tour with Lamar will be a departure from his Super Bowl halftime show performance.

“Oh, we’re doing a new thing,” she told the host, 57. “We’re doing a fun thing…We’re both just kind of throwing all the paint at the wall. This is our first stadium show for both of us, so we pretty much have to go insane.”

While the pair are set to co-headline the tour, the “Saturn” musician detailed why Lamar is a one-of-a-kind artist.

“Well, he’s a wizard, so that’s different,” SZA teased when asked if they “hang out” when they’re not rehearsing. “Wizards tend to be solitary beings, from my observation… I think he’s, you know, doing the Merlin thing backstage, getting us ready to take off and levitate.”

Kimmel also noted that the pair of musicians would be stopping in Toronto on their forthcoming tour, where a certain rapper that Lamar had a rap beef with lives.

“But what if you-know-who shows up?” he asked, referring to Drake.

“Who knows? Who knows? Who?” SZA replied before Kimmel quipped that the “Money Trees” rapper would “wave his wand, and he will disappear.”

“That’s what, the man behind the curtain is curtaining,” she added.

In December 2024, after teaming up on several hit songs over the years, SZA and Lamar announced a co-headlining stadium tour in the U.S. billed as the Grand National Tour.

The shows are set to kick off on April 19 in Minneapolis and will make stops in cities including Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto and more before wrapping June 18 in Washington, D.C.

The “Humble” rapper and the “Snooze” performer recently teamed up for the tracks “Gloria” and “Luther” from Lamar’s recent LP, GNX, which was released in November 2024. Their latest collaborations debuted at No. 27 and No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.

Prior to their most recent collaborations, Lamar and SZA collaborated on tracks including 2014’s “Babylon,” 2016’s “Untitled 04 | 08.14.2014,” 2017’s “Doves in the Wind” and 2018’s “All the Stars” from the Black Panther soundtrack.
